Switchgear engineering and design firm NOJA Power today congratulate the graduating class of their latest term of the NOJA Power Academy. This five-day course is a comprehensive overview in the applications of medium voltage outdoor switchgear, covering everything from fundamentals in mechanical design of outdoor pole mounted ACRs to advanced protection and automation of the electricity distribution grid.

With delegates from more than 20 countries, the NOJA Power Academy build’s delegates skills to solve the distribution network challenges of the world. The extensive curriculum of topics in the NOJA Power Academy equips users with advanced functional knowledge in deploying NOJA Power OSM Recloser systems to solve Reclosing, Sectionalising and Remote Load Break Switching applications in the medium voltage distribution grid.

Evolution in modern distribution network requirements for integration of renewable energy, maintaining stability under low baseload generation and handling diminishing fault currents are all being met by ongoing development in switchgear technology such as the OSM Recloser System. The NOJA Power Academy is an ideal opportunity for Power Systems Engineers to upskill and meet the demands of the future distribution network.

It is always a pleasure to host engineers from around the world at our factory to run NOJA Power Academy Training Programs,” says NOJA Power Group Managing Director Neil O’Sullivan. “Congratulations to the latest cohort on their graduation they are all now better equipped to get the most out of their install base of NOJA Power reclosers in their country.”
